Why vampires?

I like how they mix with my witches, the interplay of strength verses magick. When a strong, sexy, brooding undead meets up with one of my sexy, smart and independent witches - I just never know who is going to come out on top - or any position for that matter *winks*

What was you favorite part to write in At War In The Willows?

Wow, not sure I could pick because this series had so many dark and suspenseful moments. Each romantic pairing was so different, and hot to write in their own ways, but the battles in each novella in the series were exciting to let play out as I typed too. It was hard to let the series go in the end, so I will say my favorite part was the last big battle when I had all of my main characters involved. 

How long did it take you to write the entire trilogy?

Actually, if you don't count all the pauses life put in there not long at all. Each story just poured out of me. You know, the actual idea of having warring clans came from my publisher when she proposed writing a paranormal series to me, and I guess it was just meant to be, because the rest came to me very fast. I would say that each story took maybe 3-4 days to write the bare bones of. A lot more time though went into editing, and making sure the series went together well. 

Do you have any strange inspirations when you write?

Sometimes. For this series the song, If I Close My Eyes Forever by Lita FOrd and Ozzy Ozbourne just carried the tone and feel of the story for me, so I listened to it over and over again when I was writing the first drafts. 

Do you have any habits when you write? (like eating or listening to a specific type of music)

Not really. I mean if it's day, I have a cup of tea beside me. If it is a late night, well then a bottle of Pepsi Max, LOL. But really, I get totally lost in my own little world when I write so the setting and all really doesn't matter much to me.

When Book 3 begins, it is Devin who hides the biggest secret; he’s in love with a local human. In a moment of desperation – of love – Devin sweeps this human, Sara, away to his home in order to keep her out of harm’s way.

Unexpected close encounters, bodies ripe with need, and situations beyond their control lead to forbidden relationships. Now three vampires, a witch, a werewolf and a human must ride along the edges of the rules. They will attempt once unthinkable romantic entanglements despite all those who oppose their relationships while fighting for their lives as well.

With the Willows full of violence and bloodshed, meetings and magic amiss, will the clans ever be able to find peace among them again? Or, will this war destroy the Willows?
