<span style="font-family: inherit;">Rampage. Everyone loves him. He is Redemption's top heavyweight fighter and the biggest gossip in the gym. But he isn't the teddy bear everyone thinks he is. He's hiding a dark secret-and he hates himself for it.</span></div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; margin-bottom: 14px; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
Such a painfully amazing read!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Don't you just love it when you can relate to the characters of a book? Or maybe you want to be that character in real life? These were the kinds of feelings that I had when reading Sarah's new release. I couldn't put it down! It was one of my absolute favorite reads of 2017. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Penny was British - love her already! She was prim and proper, but she hid a dark secret. She had a certain kind of release that she sought and she only got it from one source, until Rampage came along. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It had been a while since I read the last Redemption book, so I couldn't remember Rampage all that well. However, I think I liked not remembering him from previous books because I was able to look at him with fresh eyes. He was all kinds of intense! He was friends with everybody and was loved by everybody. And then he had a "dark" secret that he was ashamed of? Oh my, give him to me!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Penny and Jack's inner struggles were like a push and pull situation. Someone would push the other, usually Jack, and then Penny would pull away and retreat to her comfortable source of release.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'd read a lot of intense novels before, but somehow, this was intense in a different kind of way because I wanted to have what they had. I wanted to be Penny. I wanted to meet my Jack. It gave me all the feels, basically.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One sure way to check if I liked a book was to see how many scenes I'd highlighted. I pretty much highlighted half of this book! I loved so many scenes, I couldn't choose just one to share here!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course, there was the camaraderie among the Redemption fighters. I just loved it all!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Blade Saw</b>: "Maybe they'd (Cora and Penny) be interested in a threesome."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Rampage</b>: <i>Don't hit him. Don't hit him. Don't hit him. *hits Blade Saw*</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Blade Saw</b>: "What the fuck?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Rampage</b>: "Slipped."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Blade Saw</b>: "You think I don't know you, but I do. What's the worst that can happen? You ask her out and she says no. You move on. Look at me. I fell for Sandy. Got dumped. Got back together with her. Got dumped. Fell for Jess. Got dumped. Not much of my heart left, but I'm still standing and taking shit from you."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now I definitely can't wait for Blade Saw's book!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ok, here's one more just for giggles.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Ray (Predator)</b>: "Who did you go out with and not tell me about?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Penny</b>: "If I didn't tell you, I might have a reason."<br /><b>Ray</b>: "Why? Did someone hurt you? Someone hurts you, and I'll rip off his balls and stuff them down his throat."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Get this book, and get all the Redemption books! You wouldn't regret it!</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
A womanizer falling in love? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Drew was the guy who didn't date a woman for more than a week. First of all, that cover was so perfect after reading this book. That was totally Drew on the cover. *fans self* </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I think there's a misconception that all womanizers are jerks, but not Drew. He actually had a heart and he cared about everyone. He kept everything for the long term except for women. He didn't think love was worth his time because of the way his parents divorced. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Olivia was a sheltered woman who let her family run her life for too long. It made sense coming from a Colombian family. There was nothing wrong with being family oriented, but there was a limit to it. Drew wanted her to live her life, so he offered to be her life guide. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
These two were so cute together. The book was light and such an easy read -- another win, for sure. I loved the funny moments the most, but also the private, more romantic moments. Drew could be silly when he wanted to, and he felt comfortable around Olivia. I liked that their relationship didn't dilly dally. Yes, there were challenges along the way, but Drew didn't waste time telling Olivia he liked her. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I also loved that the people in their lives were equally involved in the story, without being too much. I especially liked Drew's mom. I wasn't sure what to think of her in the beginning of the book, but at the end, I loved her!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Karen</b>: "Andrew, stop playing footsie with my nurse and manage your dog."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Drew</b>: "Mom."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Karen</b>: "Did you think I'm so blind that I can't see the two of you putting your hands all over each other?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Olivia</b>: "I'm sorry, we were trying to be discreet."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

The bigger problem is the nosy reporter who’s </span><i style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">this</i><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> close to exposing the club. Josh has to find a way to keep her hot mouth from talking . . . but he’ll be damned if he lets someone take her from him. Not on his watch.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Ashley Carver thought she’d do anything for a scoop. That was before her latest story leads to multiple attempts on her life. Ashley’s been investigating a homicide that has gone unsolved for five years when she uncovers evidence tying the vigilantes of the Sentinels of Babylon to a revenge killing. Now she’s in their crosshairs. But after Josh defies all notions of club loyalty to come to Ashley’s aid, soon they’re burning up the sheets—and taking on the world.</span></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A thrilling read!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When you hear the name Ashley, you think of a sweet woman who lived on the straight and narrow, right? Well, not this Ashley! She was an adrenaline junkie. She liked to live dangerously in hopes that she'd outrun the sorrows of her past.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Josh, aka Sentinel, was the kind of man who did a lot of bad things whether as a soldier or as a civilian. He was a badass biker as well. So hot, he could probably convince anyone to do his bidding without using his charm. I think it was the cocky attitude. There was something about it that got women's ovaries exploding. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I liked the easy relationship between Josh and Ashley. They were almost each other's drug of choice. Josh was Ashley's danger while Ashley was Josh's addiction. I loved the funny parts of the book. I always enjoyed a mixture of intense action and humor.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The author did a great job creating an air of constant danger in the book even during sexy times. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There was one really cool thing about Josh, but I wouldn't say because I don't want to give it away. Trust me, though, that this book had so many great moments and witty scenes. It was pretty hard narrowing down to a couple snippets to even share here. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "I figure if you can handle me being a dick, I can handle whatever you can throw out."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Ashley</b>: Why do you want more than sex with me?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "You're special. You're beautiful. You don't take any of my shit and I admire the hell out of you. I also don't like the idea of any other asshole touching you."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Ashley</b>: "So you're the only asshole that can touch me?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "Damn straight."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Ashley</b>: "Do you have a trigger guard on that?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "Of course."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Ashley</b>: "Why did you bring it?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "In case I need to use it."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Ashley</b>: "Here? Lots of pretty things, in a really nice neighborhood. I don't like having that around Maya."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "I don't like having to use it around the kids. But you can bet your sweet...cakes that I will use it to protect everyone in this house."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Maya</b>: "Ew. It's your turn. Stop kissing auntie."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "She kissed me."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Maya</b>: "Telling lies is bad."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Ashley:</b> "She told you."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Josh</b>: "You're right, Maya. I'm sorry I lied."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

So, when I saw that she was releasing a new book with Entangle'd Scorched, I jumped at the chance. Check out my review below.<br />

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Olivia was the best thing that ever happened to me. But she’s a good girl, and I have a side that is far too dark for a minister’s daughter. When she started talking about plans after graduation, the only thing I could do was run back to Italy—to protect her from me. But she’s back in my life, and I need a wife before I can take full ownership of our failing vineyard and hotel. Only problem is, I want her again. No way can I put my hands on her. One kiss, one taste, could unleash the side of me that would only scare her.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">If she discovers my dark side, I don’t know if she’ll flee back to the states, or surrender to me. What she doesn’t know is she already owns me, and if she leaves, I’ll never be the same.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
As soon as I read the first page, I couldn't stop reading until I reached the end.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I love contemporary novels, probably because it was easier to imagine. This time around, Ms. Fox took me to Italy in a beautiful and peaceful vineyard, full of senior couples. The main character Olivia wasn't sure why she ended up in a place like it, until she inadvertently witnessed a passionate encounter.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I had to stop after the first chapter because I had to get back to work, but as I was hiking with my friend that same day, I made a prediction: she would hook up with her ex and the two people she encountered. As I kept reading, I was right. Now, was it predictable? Well, I've read so many books that I figured as much. But the fun part was reading about their journey.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The heat built up until it turned into an inferno, and it was all thanks to Gio. Poor guy kept referring to himself as a beast, thinking that being a minister's daughter, Olivia <i>must</i> be an innocent. He was so wrong. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"I see the way she looks at you. I see the raw need in her eyes, a girl who aches to be dominated. I would know. We share that, remember?" - Mystery third participant ;)</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
You'll have to read the book to find out who the third participant was. This book was hot when it finally exploded. As with Cathryn's <i>Hands On</i> series, I wanted more. I wished this book was longer. I wanted to read more about the threesome ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Overall, this was a quick, steamy read that I would definitely recommend. I can't wait for the next books!</div>

Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Cassia Locke hasn’t played at Blasphemy since a caving accident left her with a paralyzing fear of the dark. Ready to fight, she knows just who to ask for help—the hard-bodied, funny-as-hell Dom she’d always crushed on—and once stood up.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill. But when doubt threatens to send her running again, Quinton must find a way to master her senses—and her heart.</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
I have waited for this book and it was so worth the wait!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Quinton. I mean, need I say more? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Alright, I will ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Quinton was <i>the</i> book boyfriend of all book boyfriends. Can I say that? Well, I guess I just did. He was all around perfect. I mean, literally, his only flaw was that he forgot something at one point. Otherwise, he was attentive, passionate, laid back, enthusiastic, caring, and very sexy. *fans self*</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Cassia sounded hot as well. Something about her fear made her seem more relatable, but she had a determination to please her master, and it was...inspiring. She was such a great submissive. If Quinton was a dream Dom, she was the dream Sub. Together, they were literally perfect.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The scenes were so hot, but what I enjoyed the most--sorry Cassia--was when Cassia would freak out and Quinton would immediately come to her side and take care of her. That was the most amazing part of BDSM that I enjoy reading from Laura's books.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"Like most Doms, Quinton was hard-wired with the need to take care of those he cared about, and certainly, of the one he loved. In every way she needed. In any way she needed."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Did I mention Quinton was such a cool guy? Actually, they both had such a good sense of humor. One of my favorite parts of the book was the "licking" bits. You'd have to read the book to know exactly why they were doing some licking ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>...they took turns in the bathroom before meeting again at her bed, where she was pulling on a tank top and a pair of boxers.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Cassia</b>: "This okay?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Quinton</b>: "Whatever makes you comfortable, baby." *kisses her cheek* "You mind me naked?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Cassia</b>: "Is that a trick question?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Quinton</b>: "Get your sexy ass in bed, woman."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I couldn't get enough of this book; I wished it was much, much longer! Oh, and it was also nice to see a little <a href="http://readingonthewildside.blogspot.com/2016/04/review-ride-hard.html" target="_blank">Raven Riders</a> cameos ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

I initially read Unworthy and was really curious as to the next story, so when I saw book two on sale, I immediately grabbed it. Check out my thoughts below.<br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Daniel Ross is getting his life in Miami back on track. Common lore says once an addict, always an addict, but Danny's out to prove lore is a moron. After a tough, celibate year of getting sober, a rental room in the home of his sister’s best friend Amy is only a stop on his journey to better things. But the best thing in Danny's life may be right in front of him--the sweet, curvaceous Amy. When they tumble into bed, he discovers a new addiction to her smokin' lips and body.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">When Amy Stern agrees to let Danny move in, it’s out of compassion. Her new tenant isn’t supposed to fill her thoughts, and star in her sexy dreams. He's definitely not meant to interfere with her budding relationship with a steady, sweet lawyer. If Amy were smart, she’d design clothes for her plus-sized women’s boutique, date her lawyer, and suppress her longing for Danny. And she'd definitely never touch him. Because once she does, his kisses and his embrace set off an explosive craving neither of them can control.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Now Amy's caught in a love triangle, and she has a secret that she's going to have to share with both men, the sooner the better. Which one of them is worthy of her trust, and her commitment?</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Where do I start? I practically tweeted the author every other page; I loved it so much!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Right from the very start, this book did not mess around. The characters went straight to the good stuff. You know what I'm talking about. They pretty much did everything backwards, and it was glorious!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This book was so funny and heartwarming from beginning to end. Danny and Amy had their own internal struggles, but together, they were able to work things out by strengthening each other's resolve. It was really quite inspiring.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danny</b>: "I think Cat left these here...and let that be the very last time I ever say my sister's name during sex."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Danny was the perfect damaged book boyfriend. Seriously, I might have wished he was real and available for me ;) He was funny, witty, and all-around amazing. He was vulnerable at times, but I think, being able to admit his weakness was so admirable. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Amy wasn't perfect, definitely not in her own opinion. She had a lot of hang ups about her weight and her appearance in general. But when Danny needed her, she was at his side no matter what. She was his rock and it was so beautiful reading about them leaning on each other at times.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of my favorite moments were when they would share a meal together. It was so domestic and refreshing. I especially loved that one of the dishes were called "Cuban chicken chop chop." I'm a sucker for those clever names of things so I was swooning at the name alone. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Overall, this book was hilarious, but also very, very romantic. Despite all the troubles they'd had, this book was light and so easy to read, and one of my 2017 favorite reads. Highly recommend!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><br /></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Drew</b>: "It's midnight, Ian. Night's barely started."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Ian</b>: *grinning "True. I'm headed to bed, but not for sleeping." </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danny</b>: *glaring* "That's my sister you're talking about."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Ian</b>: *laughing* "Sorry. Let's go."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
Action-packed and quite epic!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have been reading this series out of order, and this has been the third book I've read from the series. I must say that this was my favorite book so far! I loved it so much!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Chapter 1 was such a great example of how to write a proper story. If that doesn't sell this book to you, I don't know what would.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Luke was afraid he'd never find his mate, but when he did, wow, what a dilemma!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There was a part when Luke was beaten to a pulp and he couldn't fight back. That was such a gruesome thing to read, but it was necessary. I thought it only strengthened his resolve to successfully infiltrate the pack of misguided wolves led by a sinister Alpha. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Raven was a headstrong woman who was bitten to become part of an army of werewolves. The instinct to protect was just as present as it was inside Luke's. It was so energizing reading about Raven and Luke trying to protect each other. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of my favorite things from this book was in chapter one when the author inserted all kinds of ironic things that the readers would have already known, but Raven didn't. It was fun waiting for her to piece things together and figure things out.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Raven</b>: "You're very sexy when you lift saddles like they weigh nothing."</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Luke</b>: "And just so you know... I lift saddles multiple times a day."</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Raven</b>: "Is that a challenge?"</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Luke</b>: "Nah. Just thought you might want to know."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Another thing I really enjoyed was how Luke kept trying to teach other wolves in the pack he'd infiltrated how to properly greet each other. I thought it was so honorable and... right. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I also really enjoyed the part when they all turned under a full moon and someone had to bite Luke's tail in order to prevent him from giving away his cover. It would seem that his wolf wasn't in on the secret ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Overall, this book made me glad I started reading paranormal romance again. That's not to say I'd actively seek them out now, but I'm glad I'm reading this series. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"I'd rather have a little place so I can keep accidentally bumping into you."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
The chemistry was so hot!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I don't think I've read a mafia romance before this one, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The mob vibe was definitely there. There was no romanticizing Nico. He was a capo, which meant his hands weren't clean, but his intentions were good. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I liked that he wasn't into dealing drugs or prostitution or whatever kind of bad stuff that would attract the FBI. He tried to stay straight, even when he did have illegitimate businesses as well. His loyal crew was proof that he was someone trustworthy.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Mia</b>: "I'm not his woman."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Big Joe</b>: "I don't mean any disrespect, ma'am, and I don't have a woman of my own, so I could be wrong. But since I'm supposed to sit outside your place all night to make sure you're safe under pain of death, I think you are."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Mia was a badass mafia princess. She hated pink and preferred the punk rock fashion style. For some reason, Nico found this style very interesting. Mia was also a hacker. Reading about her work was exhilarating, though I wished there would have been more detail in her process. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Together, Nico and Mia had an explosive time together. There was an underlying danger because they were from rival families, but their attraction was stronger than spite. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of my favorite scenes was the "sexytimes countdown." Definitely something to look forward to!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I liked the book enough to look forward to the next book in this series. Check this out if you're into a gritty kind of romance centered around the mafia world.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here's one more little teaser for you:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Mia</b>: "So you know your tools. Am I supposed to be impressed?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Nico</b>: *laughs out loud* "I can only hope. Nothing has worked so far. I also have some familiarity with fixing up old cars. Among other things."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Mia</b>: "Fixing to steal them? Like you stole me?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Nico</b>: "You wound me, bella. I give you my word I mean you no harm."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Mia</b>: "The word of a mob boss."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Nico</b>: "My word as a man."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
I had a book hungover days after I finished this book. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Right from the very start, I was hooked. Hunter and Callie already had an epic banter, and it was literally not even ten pages in. This book was such a page turner. I loved the amount of action, romance, and depth in this book. There wasn't a dull moment at all.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hunter was a great guy overall. He was noble, kind, and protective. I was really impressed when he used his Navy SEAL skills during some difficult times. I thought it was so hot; I could clearly picture him in my head, dripping from being in the water. *fans self*</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Callie was headstrong and a bit misled by her own self. She had the biggest fear of hurting the people she most cared about, so she kept pushing Hunter away. I was glad to know that Hunter was totally into doing all the things that were considered a bad idea by saner people.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I loved the cameo of the main characters from the first book, <a href="http://readingonthewildside.blogspot.com/2016/08/arc-review-lure-of-obsession.html" target="_blank">Lure of Obsession</a>. Being able to work together was cool, and a little foreshadowing of a future hero was awesome. I'm sure you'll figure it out when you read the book. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
That said, I highly recommend you pick up this book. It can stand alone, but of course, it's better to read in order. </div>

<div style="box-sizing: border-box; letter-spacing: 0.5px; margin-bottom: 26px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;">

But Taylor pays a heavy price for her sizzling nights with Darius. As the emotional ties become stronger than ever and the paparazzi hunt her down for their next juicy story, Taylor must face some hard truths. They can’t go back. <div style="text-align: left;">
Passionately hot, Stacey Kennedy hits it home again!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There was something about a powerful billionaire that was simply attractive. But what made Darius desirable was his habit to provide and to protect for those people he cared about. No matter that he thought it was his duty, the people who received his "help" probably took it as him being kind and generous.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One flaw that Darius had was that I thought he was self-centered. He thought the world revolved around him and whatever conflict other people had must have been because they were associated with him. Sometimes I wanted to smack some sense into him.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Darius loves lace; he always has. Lace belongs on your body, he once told me. He steps behind me and tightens the mask around my face, and I realize I can still see quite a bit. And that's when I know the lace is for him--his kink--not to hinder my eyesight.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
On the other hand, Taylor somehow ended up worse than when she was with Darius. You see, Darius being the protector that he was, broke Taylor's heart thinking she was better off without him. Well then, she ended up in worse situations. Thanks, Darius. One thing I loved about Taylor, however, was her drive. No matter how bad things got, she was logical and didn't let her emotions get the best of her. She also saw the best in people, even when the same people would hurt her in return. Last thing I loved about Taylor was her love of books. A woman after my own heart!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Together, these two broken pieces became whole when they finally accepted that they belonged with each other. But of course, it didn't come without challenges. There was a mole among them, and I couldn't wait to read the next one in hopes that they'd finally find the culprit.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Before I spoil this book, I would end this review and implore you to buy this book. You would most definitely not regret it. </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Lucy Simmons comes from a rough family, but she’s a damn good public defender. Even though she hates to see criminals walk due to sloppy police work, the law’s there to make sure everyone gets a fair trial, and Lucy certainly doesn’t believe in the kind of justice meted out by the leather-clad ex-cop they call “Evil.” He’s stubborn, cynical, and out of control—but he plays her body like no man ever has. For once, both Lucy’s boss and her brother agree: The biker is trouble.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Evan Villiers took a sacred vow to let no killer, rapist, or pedophile go unpunished. When scumbags fall through the system, the Sentinels of Babylon clean up the garbage. Although the SOBs and their methods may not be to Lucy’s liking, the beautiful lawyer has become Evan’s light in the dark. But his next hit is Lucy’s own brother—a murderer who got off on a technicality. Now, with his loyalties split, Evan must turn his back on his sworn duties . . . or lose the woman who has claimed his reckless heart.</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Desperate passion met justice served. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This book had so many facets and I enjoyed all of them. For some reason, this book seemed a bit long, but I think that was only because the characters and their stories were really well-developed. The author did an amazing job crafting a story and still making the book a reasonable length. The sexy scenes were also scorching but not excessive. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Evan "Evil" Villiers was a retired cop who became someone who dealt justice when the system couldn't provide it. He had three friends and I honestly loved the way their characters were molded in this story. I couldn't wait to read the rest of the series to see what happened with the rest of the characters.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>He looked like a hot fudge sin sundae with a cherry on top.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
But first, it was Evil's turn and he needed to make Lucy his own. He was quite possessive in an alpha kind of way that he preferred to show Lucy he cared for her in his actions rather than in words. He skirted around facts whether it had something to do with possibly killing people or how he truly felt about Lucy.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"I am a man. You are my woman. Nothing hurts what's mine."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course, something had to be said about the dirty talk in this book. It was always welcome in my book. The chemistry between them was so hot and always desperate to explode.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If you're looking for an intense read with a lot of action whether on the streets or in the bedroom, I'd highly recommend you check out this book. You won't regret it.</div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">Welcome to Panic, a sultry Miami nightclub where bodies and hearts move to a beat that doesn’t stop at sunrise—the setting for “a magnificent story full of deep emotion” (Sawyer Bennett).</b><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><b style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><i>Katherine:</i></b><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> I thought I could enjoy a night out like a normal person. I thought I could handle the flashing lights, the pulsing music, the crowded dance floor. I couldn’t have been more wrong. After having an anxiety attack and passing out during my sister’s engagement party at Panic, I wake up in the arms of the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. Nick Moreno’s no gentleman. But he might just be the man I need to help me take control of my life.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #333333;" /><b style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><i>Nick:</i></b><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> When I hear there’s some random girl passed out in the back room of my family’s South Beach nightclub, I’m pissed. My dad’s already behind bars and we can’t afford any more bad press. But after giving her a lift—literally—back to her apartment, I stop seeing Katherine Wilson as some random girl. She’s gorgeous, vulnerable, and braver than she knows. And when we kiss, all I want to do is pull her close and promise that she’ll always be safe in my arms.</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Emotionally charged from beginning to end!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This book literally started with a panic...attack. Right then, I knew this book was something I would love. Nico was such a jerk in the beginning that I wanted to smack him a hundred times over. He had a bad experience with drugs, and so he assumed everyone acting strange were high on some sort of illegal substance. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Poor Katherine was just another junkie to Nico. I wanted to yell at him that she wasn't high. I empathized with her throughout the whole book...because I knew just what it was like to have anxiety. I might not have panic attacks like Katherine, but anxiety attacks could be just as exhausting. I knew what it was like to be afraid and to feel so weak because of a mental illness.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Katherine was such an admirable character because she fought for a life she used to have, where she went out with friends and had fun instead of holing up in her apartment in fear of dying if she left the safety of her home. Nico was a jerk, but when he opened his eyes, he was able to understand and even became supportive...up to a certain point. This book wouldn't be so interesting if there wasn't any conflict ;) I would say, however, that I was fangirling for most of the book, totally in love with the characters. And then, towards the end, I was literally crying for a while...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was so thankful that the author wrote this book and I hope it would somehow educate people that anxiety and other mental disorders were not something people chose to have, just like cancer or any other disease. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyway, I loved the irony that the club Nico co-owned with his brother Matt was named Panic. By the way, Matt was such a lovely character! He was so fun to read. Now I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Pull Me Close is a must-read, but be forewarned that this book was so emotional and might affect empaths more than others.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Easy bedtime read...until you get to the sexy parts, then it gets intense...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Lucky and Harmony reunited on the dance floor and the sexual tension was thick. Lucky was described as the hottest sex on a stick, to be fair, and Harmony needed a bit of a distraction.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Their chemistry was fiery and I loved reading their sexy scenes. There was a time when they dipped their toes in a bit of BDSM, and though the safe words were cliche, I still liked it. It was sweet and full of passion, that was for sure. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of my favorite things were Lucky's way of communication. Since English wasn't his first language, it was so adorable how he would try to clarify things with Harmony. I literally tweeted the author as I read because I just had to share the joy of reading the conversation between the two.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Lucky</b>: "Just to be clear, that's it? That's it between you two?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Harmony</b>: "That's it."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Lucky</b>: "So."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Harmony</b>: "So."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Lucky</b>: "Back to this 'you and me' idea."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Harmony</b>: "What about it?"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Lucky</b>: "I think we should look into it a little more."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This book was short, but it had a lot of heart. So, if you want an easy, light read, with a sprinkle of spice, this would be the book for you. </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">From the ruins of an abandoned church comes Baltimore’s hottest and most exclusive BDSM club. Submission is the only thing that ever freed her from pain and made her feel secure, and Kenna needs to serve again. Bad. The only problem is the Dom she wants once refused her submission and broke her heart, but, scarred on the inside and out, she’s not looking for love this time. <div style="text-align: left;">
Intricately hot and emotional!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Master Griffin and Kenna Sloane both had something to feel guilty about. Together, they faced their fears and battled their demons, and it was so beautiful. I was crying towards the end of this book and the damn tears just wouldn't stop!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Kenna felt self-conscious about her arm; she felt like people would be put off by it, but the one opinion she really cared about was Griffin's. His reaction to her insecurities was so passionate that I was overwhelmed with admiration for his character.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"Are you under the impression that your amputation in any way detracts from my attraction to you? Because if you are, I'm telling you right fucking now that you're the most beautiful woman I've ever known in my whole goddamned life and nothing--nothing--could ever change that."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The way that Griffin embraced all of Kenna, even as she thought she was incomplete or undeserving, was so inspiring. His feelings for her helped him show Kenna that he wasn't going anywhere.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Kenna</b>: "It can't exactly cut me, Griffin."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Griffin</b>: "That's not fucking funny, Kenna."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There was one really intense scene that brought so much tears in my eyes. I just couldn't wait for you all to read it. It was so amazing and heart wrenching at the same time. Especially when Griffin had to text '911' to one of the other Doms. Just brilliant how they were all there for each other whenever assistance was needed.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of my favorite parts was finding out Griffin drove an Audi A7. What a sexy car for a sexy man. Can every sexy man just drive an Audi, please?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There were two things I wanted to mention though. First, it seemed that in any BDSM situation that took place in someone's personal abode, there was always a wash cloth in the bathroom for someone to use. I mean, I don't even own a wash cloth. How do these characters just always happen to have a wash cloth at the ready? (lol)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Second, the ending felt a bit incomplete. There was one scene I was hoping to see, but when I saw "the end" and didn't read about the scene, I was a bit disappointed. Well, I guess when Griffin thought "it was private", I guess that meant the reader couldn't read about it either. Darn it! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Overall, though, this book was so good. I have always devoured Laura's books and this was no different. I would highly recommend it. </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Mary Kildare knows how to read people. It’s both why she makes a great therapist and why she refuses to trust the average bachelor. Staying fiercely independent has been her primary relationship strategy—until wealthy playboy pilot (and commitmentphobe) Glen Fairchild reappears in her life. After a yearlong teasing tug-of-war, Mary and Glen test the waters of attraction, only to find that their physical chemistry runs deeper than flirtation.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">At first, a bicoastal romance suits them both—especially since Glen can swoop in and whisk Mary away on one of his company’s planes. But no matter how close they get, they’re still three thousand miles apart. And when Mary’s life is threatened, Glen realizes the one luxury he doesn’t have is time. Can he close the distance between them before it’s too late?</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
From the very start, this book was a total hit! I love it when a book catches my attention right from the very first page.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Mary and Glen argued like an old married couple and it was the cutest thing ever! All Glen needed was a little nudge. I loved that there were no heartaches in this book, but there were suspense and thrilling scenes!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I also enjoyed the humor in the story when it was appropriate.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Mary</b>: I like the coat, not the price. I'll be fine.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Glen</b>: I'm all about chivalry, but it's butt cold out there, and I like my coat.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Everything went on smoothly, except for the minor detail of Mary's house and safety. No big deal, right? It was awesome seeing Glen fly all over the country and even overseas just to get to Mary. What a dream!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The cameos of the other characters made me want to read the rest of the books. Not Quite Perfect was just well-written and full of feel-good pages. I remember when Glen told Mary the reason why he chose to stay with her. I just about swooned to the moon and back.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The last few chapters were the absolute best. I stayed up past my bedtime to finish it and I was beyond satisfied. Books like this are the reason why I'm so thankful to be a bookworm. Books like this are the reason why I continue to smile each and every day. Thank you, Ms. Bybee :)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This was definitely a must-read!</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
I love, love, love this book! From the very beginning, it was action-packed, and frankly, that was how you properly start a story. Well done, Ms. Covington!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>"These are people. Patients. Not outcomes."</b></i></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Dr. Beckett Sutherland... Gee, where to start? Oh, let's start with the cover. One thing I noticed was the model's lips. How appropriate were those lips to represent Dr. Sutherland? So sexy. Anyway, Beck was a complicated character, but he had the biggest heart. It might not have been obvious, however, because he chose to hide his true self. He didn't think his actions were enough to atone for his mistakes when he hadn't a choice as a kid. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>"Dr. Sutherland. Didn't your mama ever tell you that you get more flies with honey than vinegar?"</b></i></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>"My mama didn't stick around long enough to teach me shit, and you know my tongue can be mighty sweet when I want it to be."</b></i></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Virginia, aka Ginger, was a force to be reckoned with. Being the daughter of a NAVY Seal, she learned many skills including the ability to shut off her emotions most of the time. To be honest, I found that very admirable. Her character was fiery when she wasn't hiding behind a mask. She was a firecracker when Beck was able to push her boundaries. Their chemistry was explosive!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b><br /></b></i></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Ginger had always spent a ridiculous amount of money on underwear that barely covered the fun parts.</b></i></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Who could resists Beck's charms? He had the ability to even charm some men, but I bet that had something to do with his pure heart rather than him actually trying. I'd say he was probably one of my favorite book boyfriends this year. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>The serpent in the Garden of Good and Evil had nothing on Beckett.</b></i></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The cameos of the other boys from this series made me want to read the previous books. Where had I been living? A rock?! I totally missed out!<br />

He moved forward, his arms raised and his hands placed flat against the door.<br />
<br />
"Gin, baby, let me in," he whispered against her ear, his warm breath brushing the tendrils of her hair against the skin of her neck. She arched her neck involuntarily, her silent plea answered by the fleeting brush of his lips against her lobe. She shivered, her keys almost slipping from her fingers.<br />
<br />
Fuck, she wanted him. Beckett didn't have to wear her down like the waves crashing against the shore, his power was like the undertow, swirling around her, playfully enticing her farther out into the water. The harder she fought against the pull, the more seductive his movements became. Take this move--she should have expected him to show up at her door, but she didn't. It didn't fit in her ordered plan for her world, and the surprise delighted her inner romantic who refused to see that being swept off your feet usually led to a painful crash.
She couldn't let him in no matter how much she wanted to.<br />
<br />
Virginia braced her trembling hand and inserted the key into the lock, twisting until the tumbler gave way and she released the keys to grab the doorknob.
<br />
<br />
Beckett's hand closing over hers halted her movement and prevented her escape. Or was she planning to invite him in? She had no idea.
<br />
<br />
All she knew was that her blood was hot, her sex was wet, and her heart rattled against her chest like it was trying to escape.
<br />
<br />
"Let me in." His voice was deeper, rougher, and accompanied by a tender scrape of his teeth along her shoulder, lingering on the spot where it sloped upward into the exposed skin of her neck.
<br />
<br />
She let out a long, shuddering breath.<br />
<br />
"If you let me in I will fuck you until you cannot move. I know how to make you feel good, and I promise you will feel the pleasure a week from now." He huffed out a breath caught between a laugh and a moan against her flesh. "You know I can fucking do it."</div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Piper Dawson has spent a lifetime living by other people’s rules.<br />She’s worked hard to get what she wants—a residency at her first choice hospital—and no one will ever tie her down again, not even her severe yet incredibly sexy supervisor, Dr. Alexander “Ace” Lennox.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Ace is done with love. He’s had his heart shattered, and he never wants to go there again. But when he’s inexplicably enticed by the sexy, tattooed woman with blue streaks in her hair and a perpetual smile on her lips, he figures that maybe he can keep it to just sex.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The problem? He thrives on control, and Piper dances just around the edges of it.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">But when they're together, control is the first thing to go...</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
This book was explosive, there were times when I was afraid I'd explode while reading it!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ace and Piper didn't like each other. They always butted heads; Ace thought Piper was crazy, and Piper thought Ace was a jerk. Ah well, opposites attract, right?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I really liked that Piper was a smart ass in the beginning. She enjoyed messing with Ace for the most part, and reeling him into pretending to be with her was just the cherry on top.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Once Ace was on board with the game, he was proven a great player. Oh, and did you know Ace was a dirty talker? Oh boy, he was good. No wonder Piper was all over him. He also had weird little things that he liked about Piper like her tan lines and her back. Sheesh, he was gone before he even knew it.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"Piper had an orgasm over her dessert."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Piper was just a joy in all kinds of ways. She was open and confident, though she did feel insecure at times about how she looked. See, Piper wasn't rich, but Ace was. I couldn't blame her if she felt intimidated sometimes.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I recently developed a thing for men dipping their women. Ace clearly knew what was good because in one of the scenes, he dipped Piper just to say something sexy to her. Piper's reaction was: <i>"Holy. Shit."</i> Yep, exactly.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There were so many other delicious surprises in this book, but I wouldn't spoil it. Let me just say that Ace couldn't keep his hands to himself as a result. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Lastly, I really enjoyed that Kellan from <a href="http://readingonthewildside.blogspot.com/2016/08/review-seducing-boss.html">Seducing the Boss</a> made a cameo. He was such a great man, and funny as well!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b style="font-style: italic;">Kellan</b><i>: "Fill these (sexual harassment forms) out while I go check on Dr. Alvarado." He was halfway out the door before he hesitated and turned back. "</i>Do not<i> have sex on my desk."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So, what are you waiting for? Get this book now!</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
This is the final book and it was amazing!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Danielle was even bolder and more honest with Jack like never before. She flirted openly with him and made him want her like he'd never want anyone in his life. The chemistry was even more explosive than the last two books, if that was even possible.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Jack</b>: "Dessert?" </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danielle</b>: "Yes, and I already know what I'm having."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Jack</b>: "Don't you want to see the menu first?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danielle</b>: "I don't need to. I'm looking at what I want."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I also appreciated that Violet was in more scenes than in the first two books. I really hoped that she would get her own little series or one full novella. I wanted to see just how naughty she could be, but I also wanted her to find love. I thought she deserved it as much as Danielle did.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Violet</b>: "Ohmigod, it's Thor."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danielle</b>: "Thor? Actually, I think it's Luke."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Violet</b>: "As in Jack's brother Luke?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danielle</b>: "Yeah, I mentioned something about bringing him by today."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Violet</b>: "You do love me."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danielle</b>: "Go easy on him."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Violet</b>: "Not a chance. Besides, he doesn't strike me as the kind of man who'd want anything easy."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Danielle</b>: "He co-owns a service bay with Sam, and he's also an MMA fighter."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Violet</b>: "He's got trouble written all over him."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I also got to see Danielle surrounded by Jack's family and it was so beautiful. They enveloped her in their familial love and I would bet that Danielle never wanted to leave. They were so sweet and sometimes rowdy, but so perfect. There was also the relationship between Jack and Jamie, his best friend. I loved nothing more than two best friends being able to communicate with just the look in their eyes. Okay, now I wish Jack's brothers AND Jamie would have their own books. That would be a mini dream come true. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This serial is definitely a must-read. It's also now <a href="http://amzn.to/2cBd4Mc">available in print as a boxed set</a> so you could devour it all in one sitting if you so desire. Go, go, go!</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Humorous and sexy at the same time. Was it actually possible?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The simple answer? Yes. I couldn't actually believe how much I enjoyed reading and editing this book. The characters were so likeable and well-developed even for a short book. Though there was a bit of hesitance on Will's part at first, his true desire wouldn't let him hold back for too long.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It was also a good thing that the friendship wasn't on any deeper level so the "friends with benefits" thing wasn't that big of a deal. I really enjoyed the fact that Will cared so much about his friend that he wanted to make sure that she didn't surrender to her insecurities. Talk about a great friend.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The steamy scenes were really hot, as well as funny, which what I really enjoyed the most. Usually, when I read about friends getting together, I felt a bit uneasy because there was no going back when the line between friendship and sexual relationship had been crossed. Thankfully, this book didn't give me such an uneasy feeling. Very interesting, indeed.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of my favorite reads this year, for sure!</div>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Asking pro football player Jack Rider to teach me everything he knows about sex might have seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I'm not so sure I can handle a guy like him. I thought he'd just straight up do me, ridding me of my pesky virginity sooner rather than later. But no, he had his own ideas about bringing me up to speed on sex. His two weeks of slow seduction might just be the death of me, but since he's the one in charge, I have to play the game his way. Not that I'm not enjoying it. I am. Who wouldn't, right? I guess I just can't help but wonder how I'll ever let another man touch me after him.</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Danielle learned sexy things in this book.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
First things first, I was glad that we got to meet Jack's family briefly in this book. I loved the banter between his brothers and hoped that there would be more in the final book of this series. The connection was unmistakable, and I'd love to see how Danielle would respond to such a bond.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The other thing I loved about this book was the mention of Jack's best friend Jamie. There was a time when Jack was considering asking his best friend to tag team if Danielle wanted a threesome. Well, I sure hope that she would want one so I could read about it in book 3 ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As with the first book, Danielle's innocence was still so cute. No wonder Jack was hooked like an addict to drugs. He couldn't get her out of his mind, and she was getting under his skin. I smell romance.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Danielle</b>: "Are we going to have sex?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Jack</b>: "If you consider my mouth, hands, and tongue on your body, touching and tasting you everywhere--and I mean everywhere--sex, then yes, we're having sex."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In this book, we also met Jack's physical therapist. I thought she was a good, professional woman, until she propositioned Jack. Not cool, missy. Next!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Besides Danielle's innocence, it was also cute how eager she was at learning the art of sex (ahem). She was reading about it, and honestly telling Jack about it. Clearly, she had no idea that telling him would probably turn him on. I loved how effective the author was in making Danielle likeable while being innocent.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>"You know what happens to naughty girls who overstep boundaries?"</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Unfortunately, I'd have to wait for the final book in September to come out before I found out what happened. Darn it! Book 3, come quick, please ;)</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Dark, gritty, and so steamy.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I started this book, my first reaction was that it was hilarious. I loved how funny it was, so much that I went to work and told my coworker about it and showed her some quotes I highlighted in my kindle app. My favorite part was the daydreams about a boat.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Me and Joan--we were a scene just breathing.</b></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Beyond the humor, however, was something quite dark. When reading this book, I felt like I was surrounded with the darkness that always had the characters in its tight embrace. The self-loathing was strong, though softened by the humor.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><b>All I wanted was my sister back and somehow I adopted a biker.</b></span></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Another thing to mention about this book was the heat level of the sex scenes. The characters weren't even touching, but it was so hot all the same. That was quite an achievement, I'd say. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This book had three parts, and it seemed like a really long book. It only let me get attached to the characters some more, though. The first part was all the darkness. The second part was when light was starting to creep through the darkness. And finally, the third part was when the darkness had been conquered. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I knew that I was getting an ARC of the book from Netgalley. However, the amount of typos I encountered were a bit much. I had read many books from Netgalley and the typos were pretty minimal, except for this book. I still enjoyed the story, but I did hope that the final copy would be polished well.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Would I recommend this book? Sure, if you like dark, humorous, sexy romance. :)<br />
<br />
Check out the quotes below:<br />
J: "Hey, Max. How you doing? Rise and shine!"<br />
M: "Fuck off."<br />
J: "And hello to you too. Do you know what year it is?"<br />
M: "Let me sleep."<br />
J: "Can't do that. I need you to answer some questions. Do you know what day it is?"<br />
M: "Wednesday."<br />
J: "Do you know your name?"<br />
M: "Max Daniels."<br />
J: "My name?"<br />
M: "Joan-the-crazy-fucking-bitch."<br />
J: "Good enough. How are your ribs?"<br />
M: "Hurts...to breathe."<br />
<br />
"You're not so tough," I whispered, because it was funny. Because he was a murderous son of a bitch. But at the moment he was my murderous son of a bitch.<br />
<br />
J: "I forgot about those burritos."<br />
F: "You ate so many, I thought you were going to turn into one."<br />
<br />
"Save your act for other people. The lies and the show--I don't want it. I want you. Fucked up and crazy. I want you." It was poetry.<br />
<br />
M: "What's good?"<br />
J: "The peach pancakes."<br />
M: "Do I look like a guy who eats peach pancakes?"<br />
(A little later on, the waitress came over to ask for their order)<br />
J: "I'll have the pulled pork eggs benedict."<br />
M: "I'll have the peach pancakes."</div>

What a lovely day it was! Also, she gave me Honor and Bryce's book. I'd be going backwards, but watch out for my review on their book later this year as well.<br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Olivia Lincoln has a plan <i>guaranteed</i> to get her life back on track. A plan that involves her best friend, Danny. And he’s on board, too…until she blurts out that they’re engaged and expecting a baby, and the news spreads like wildfire.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The problem? Danny doesn’t do marriage. Or family. And everyone knows it, including Olivia.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">As irritated as he might be, protecting Olivia is what Danny does. But put best friends under one roof, add house rules begging to be broken, accidental nakedness, and pancakes in bed, and what started as a marriage between friends threatens to turn into the real deal…which would ruin <i>everything</i>.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
So cute, so adorable, so perfect!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This book was so light and easy to read. I was hooked from the very beginning so I pretty much devoured this book. Was there any other way to do it?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Danny was the sweetest book boyfriend I have ever read; I just wanted to squeeze him so hard. Olivia was one lucky woman. He was always there for her no matter what, where, or when. He would do anything for her, including giving up his life and accepting her crazy proposal.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course, Danny was not without fault. There were times when I wanted to punch him and knock some sense into him. Or at the very least, wished that Bryce would do it on my behalf. Sheesh!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Olivia, on the other hand, seemed to believe that she never did anything right, because that was what her mother had always told her. What a witch! Thankfully, Danny was there by her side no matter what. That meant a lot, I was sure of it. I always told myself that even the worst people have at least one friend, so there must be something redeemable about them, right? Olivia certainly had a lot of amazing qualities. Qualities that Danny sure noticed more and more. Poor thing, the first half of the book was full of sexual tension, but they were so darn cute!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So anyway, this book was amazing and I can't wait to go backwards and read the second book. <a href="http://readingonthewildside.blogspot.com/2014/08/review-keeping-mr-right-now.html">Click here if you want to read my review of the first one, Keeping Mr. Right Now.</a></div>

From the start, she was so lovely, and then I read her books and they were such a joy to immerse myself into. And then the time came when she approached me to edit her newest book, and I was only too happy to accept. Aside from being an editor, I enjoyed reading the book, so check out my review below!<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
A fresh new series that was touching, romantic, and a little bit cute. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I first read the premise of this series, I knew I wanted to read it. I didn't read a lot of mythology books, but this one sounded interesting, besides the fact that Ms. Kessler wrote it. I liked the idea of Zeus' daughters living on Earth and inspiring people to move forward in the world. I truly appreciated the romance aspect of this book as well. The guardian thing was awesome, especially because he was a cop -- a man in uniform was always hot, right?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I loved the conversations in the book because they were light; not too serious. Melanie had such a way with words that made me giggle at times, even during sexy time ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There was also something to be said about Nate's willingness to help Melanie. He felt very protective of her, not to mention the undeniable attraction between them.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Since Melanie was the Muse of Tragic Poetry, it only made sense that she was a teacher who taught poetry. My favorite part was when one of her students read out loud. I might have shed a tear or two after reading that scene. It was so beautiful.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There was also a nice little surprise in the book that I thought the readers would really love. If you were looking for a new, fresh series to lose yourself into, I would highly recommend this one. I, for one, couldn't wait for the next books in the series. I heard there would be many more men in uniform.</div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Kellan James is unwinding at Score when he spots the last person he’d ever expect to find in his favorite bar. Sara Connelly—ER nurse, do-gooder, charitable crusader, and frequent pain in his ass. Both grew up privileged in swanky Southampton, but that’s where the similarities end. Kellan’s made it his mission to seek out life’s pleasures; Sara gains pleasure from lecturing him on his lifestyle. Kellan would never date someone like her. Ever.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 22.4px; margin-bottom: 14px; margin-top: -4px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">But when Kellan discovers Sara’s been stood-up by an online date, something fierce and protective awakens inside of him. Typically, Kellan would enjoy teasing the jilted Sara, but something in her face sends him over to her table with a plan. He encourages her to take a walk on the wild side, one weekend of sin, no holds barred.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">She accepts, but it quickly becomes apparent that one night isn’t enough. As the pull between them grows stronger, Kellan discovers it’s a very dangerous thing to say never.</span></div>

Humorous, Romantic, and So Hot!<br />
<br />
From the very beginning, I was hooked to this book. I giggled, I swooned, but I also fell in love very quickly with the characters. Kellan had such a charm that was irresistible. He was the eternal playboy who was the whole package: tall, dark, handsome, and intelligent. Well, damn. I wanted him for myself.<br />
<br />
Sara was commonly known as Scrubs. Who knew she was hiding a sexy body underneath the unflattering nurse scrubs? But you'd be happy to know that she wasn't all good looks. Underneath, her heart shone like a beautiful star, if only one would pay attention *ahem, Kellan, ahem*<br />
<br />
It was funny because I could relate to Sara's unplanned celibacy. When Kellan appeared so shock, it reminded me of my friend feeling so sad for me, just like Kellan did for Sara :)<br />
<br />
The familiarity between the two characters was so refreshing and their chemistry was explosive. Gee, if this book never ended, I wouldn't have minded. Also, did I mention I really loved the little jabs at Kellan here and there?<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
"The man had an ego the size of California."</div>
<br />
One thing that really touched me was when Kellan, the eternal playboy, asked Sara for more time. At that time, I witnessed his vulnerability and I felt so honored to be reading this book. Seriously.<br />
<br />
Towards the end of the book, Kellan's family started getting involved and I just loved it, especially his mom. You know you're in trouble when you decide you need your mom. Kellan was in big trouble.<br />
<br />
This book was not fun and games, however. There was a part in the book that was very serious and in it, I saw how Kellan's character changed and sort of grew up in a way.<br />
<br />
Seriously, writing this review reminded me just how much I loved this book. I can't wait to tell my friends and coworkers about it!<br />
<br />
Check out some of my favorite quotes/scenes below.<br />
<br />
<b>Sara</b>: "Did I faint?"<br />
<b>Kellan</b>: "I'm pretty sure you just lost your balance, but let's go with that passing out story. Makes me sound like a total stud."<br />
<br />
<b>Sara</b>: "He thinks we're making a mistake, doesn't he?"<br />
<b>Kellan</b>: "It's Josh. If there's a more impulsive, hedonistic guy on the planet, I'd like to see you point him out."<br />
She raised her finger and pointed in Kellan's direction.<br />
<br />
<b>Kellan</b>: "Give me thirty seconds." She tilted her head, giving him a quizzical look. "Condoms are in the bedroom."<br />
<b>Sara</b>: "Oh. Some playboy you are. Sort of figured you'd have a box in every room."<br />
<br />
"What part of 'naked' are you struggling with this weekend?"<br />
